Three of my dreams by =karma-k2:iconkarma-k2:

A Small Smattering from Karma's Subconscious

I was walking on a path, and realised I was visiting a zoo. I meandered my way along past the animal enclosures until I came to a cyclone fence that stood about 10 feet tall. Inside this enclosure was a lush jungle. The keeper assured me it was safe to enter, so I did.
Dressed in my explorer clothes, I macheted my way through the undergrowth, looking for animals, before realising I had no idea what was supposed to be inside the enclosure. I turned back to ask the keeper, and found that the trail I had hacked had grown over, leaving me lost.
Suddenly there was rustling in the trees all around me. I was terrified, wondering if maybe I was going to be beaten up by an angry gorilla or something. Through a gap between two huge trees burst forth ... a giraffe. My relief was short-lived as it grinned at me, and I realised that it's teeth were that of a carnivore, much like the velociraptors from Jurassic Park. The giraffe roared and instantly I was surrounded by half a dozen other carnivorous giraffes.
Running as fast as I could, I weaved through their legs and miraculously found my way to the fence. I dashed through the gate and took off into the main body of the zoo, with the keeper behind me yelling that the giraffes "were really friendly, honest, they just look nasty!" I turned around to give him a piece of my mind and the heck outta NOWHERE came one of his "really friendly" giraffes. It swooped its head down and with one bite ate the keeper's top half.
Now COMPLETELY terrified, I raced out of the zoo with the giraffes in hot pursuit. Instead of the road I was expecting, a large carpark lay before me, with a ZONKING HUGE warehouse at the far end. I was exhausted by now, but the herd of carnivorous giraffes was enough to keep me going. I reached the warehouse before the giraffes did, and banged on the door, pleading to be let inside. A girl I went to school with named Sophie let me in, and I sank to the floor with relief. An out-of-place odour filled my nose and, looking up, I realised that everyone I had ever gone to school with was there, baking the world's supply of bread.
Suddenly the wall behind me started to vibrate, like someone was banging on the other side. Sophie went to open the door (which I was still sitting in front of) and I screamed "NO! The giraffes are on the other side!" Everyone gasped, and Sophie started ranting at me, saying how she couldn't believe that I'd lead the giraffes here, of all places!! I was confused, but didn't get a chance to say anything because the giraffes were banging continously on the wall. The wall caved in and - rather like the plans for a paper cube - the other walls fell outwards and the roof fell beyond the far wall.
The giraffes dashed in, stopped, and looked around at all the baking. Grinning like fiends, they proceeded to eat up every last bit of baked goods and ingredients in the place, then, full, they turned and sauntered off into the sunset, happy to have caused a world-wide shortage of bread.
And then I woke up.

I was in Atlanits, and the city was suspiciously quiet. As I walked the lonely corridors, I couldn't shake the feeling that All Was Not Right. I made it to the Control Room without meeting anyone - which I was quite upset about - and looked down on out into the Gate Room.
There I saw Apophis, leading his fellow System Lords in a full-costume routine of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I collapsed to the ground in abject horror and the doors opened to reveal that the Goa'uld had decided to conga-dance into the room. Still on the ground, I squeezed my eyes shut so as not to be too emotionally traumatised, but it was too late. Every time I looked up, there was Apophis, dressed to the nines in his little gold mini-skirt and matching titty-straps, shakin' it like it was hot.
The Goa'uld even had back-up dancers - the Wraith. They all decided to go back to dancing "The Timewarp", complete with singing but this time it was Cronus who was wearing Frank N. Furter's get-up.
It was at this point I woke up in absolute terror, and failed to get back to sleep.

My brother and I decided we wanted to attend a lecture on dancing. We got our tickets and made our way towards the place where the lecture was going to be held. Along the way, Phillip decided he was thirsty and walked up to a vending machine (the kind that takes notes as well as coins) to buy a drink. He slipped a five dollar note in, talking about what he hoped to learn from the lecture all the while.
The vending machine - which had previously been employed by Powers Of Evil (POE) to ensure the lecture was a failure - rounded up some of it's friends and family, and kept trying to kidnap us to stop us from attending. It also tried to brainwash us into stopping others from going too, and to work for POE instead.
We kept escaping and the POE vending machines tried to kill us.
Finally, we got to the place the lecture was going to be held - a cement ampitheatre - and there was an invisible barrier keeping the vending machines out. I figured we were safe as long as we stayed inside, and that we'd be right to go after the lecture was over. This meant that I was happy to sit on the cold cement steps, but Phillip kept sneaking out and breaking into peoples motorhomes and stealing their lawn chairs, trying to find the perfect one. I ended up chasing him around and returning them, all the while avoiding POE's vending machines.
And then Phillip woke me up.

OK, I promised AGES ago that I would put up bits and pieces from my dream journal. I don't keep the journal for dream interpretation (I SO don't go for that sort of thing!) but rather for a mix of entertainment and short-story purposes.

I was 16 when I had the first dream, and 23 for the next two. :XD: They are typical of the dreams I have (just ask my brother!)

And now y'all know why I'm scared of giraffes. ^^; And yes, I realise how sad that is.

LOL! Awesome dreams! Apophis would have scarred me for life! Absolutely scarred! How can you watch any Stargate after that?!

I'm guessing that first one was after watching Jurrasic Park? LOL!

You have hysterical dreams! Makes for an interesting sleep :giggle:

Let's just say I'm not an Apophis fan. :XD:
The first one, oddly enough, had nothing to with JP. I'd just moved from a little country town of about 2 500 people to a city of 60 000 and I think it was stress related. That, and I've always found giraffes to be rather freaky.

I love my dreams! To quote Ralph: "oh boy! Sleep! That's where I'm a Viking!"

It robbed me of half a night of ! It's funny now, but I woke up exceedingly disturbed. Rocky Horror has that effect on me. :giggle:

I've never even heard of the muffin-muncher! What's it about?
I had to watch the film for English in Year 11, so it wasn't exactly of my free will. It has scarred me in ways I dare not contemplate. :fear:
Oh, yes! Those vending machines know nothing of the Powers Of Good. :giggle:

it is a book about a dragon that eats all the muffins and muffin making ingredients and sends a kingdom broke. But he isn't really a bad dragon, just loves muffins. It's a 'Serendipity' book series if you've heard of them, beautifully illustrated. But it all works out ok in the end because he saves them on firewood by keeping the ovens going with his dragon fire and then they all make lots of muffins and all is well ;p (gotta love happy endings).
I'm starting to think I shulda kept a 'dream journal' some of my dreams woulda made brilliant 'action' films.
