I hate it when people who ask you to look through their galleries - my standard answer (unless I know them in some way) is IGNORE. I couldn't even be bothered saying "no."

Lucky you. I get asked to from time to time, but tonight I was looking at someone else's deviation, and came across a comment that said "I invite you to take a look at my gallery". Like an invitation is necessary!

Hmmm, it's asked me once since I'm on DevArt. I did, of course, but if I find a gallery that looks interesting to me, I definitely look it through sooner or later.

I saw last night on another user's page, a comment from a user who's image had been faved. They put "Thanks for the fav but couldn't you spare your time to go through my gallery?"

i was like WHATHAFUCK? How rude is that? Then there was another 'thank you' from that person that said "Thanks for the 7 favs!!!" A little part of me died inside with htred

You know, I know I probably sound like an ass, but every single time someone asks me to look through their gallery, it just feels like fishing for popularity. It really annoys me, and it seems rude somehow. Honestly? If someone asks me to go to their gallery, I automatically don't go.

On the other hand, I do try to visit the gallery of anyone who +favs or especially comments on my stuff. I like seeing people's art, so I quietly troll through quite a few galleries. It's just when people try to get me to go to their gallery that I won't.
